We all know Chevy Chase was one hot piece. I mean, obviously.
But I wonder if that makes life easier or harder for him now that he’s portly and old and bald, as we will all become eventually. Is it easier to have once been beautiful and to have that beauty fade and wither with age; to have once had really hot ladies lined up around blocks just to speak to you, and now to have people barely recognize you? Does it soften the blow? Are memories enough to sustain a person? Is money? Or would it have been easier to have never had any of it at all? Does the sweetness of yore make today’s bitterness even harder to swallow, or does it leave a coating in the mouth that protects the tastebuds from old-man sour?
But really, I bet the worst part is hearing everyone say that Bill Murray is cooler.
